Shelby Awalt
Shelby is a dedicated therapist specializing in addiction and mental health, with a deep passion for supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and recovery. She brings empathy, insight, and evidence-based approaches to her practice, helping clients navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges with compassion and clarity.
Outside of work, Shelby finds joy in the simple things—reading a good book, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with her two beloved dachshunds. She’s also on a mission to visit all 50 states (currently a work in progress!).
Bev Perry
Beverly Perry is a licensed social worker with over 18 years of experience specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and mindfulness practices. She focuses on addiction, psychiatric disorders, trauma, and supporting disenfranchised populations, including the LGBT community.
Known for her empathetic approach, Beverly is dedicated to helping clients navigate their healing journeys. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, meditation, writing, and spending time with her husband, cat, and two dogs, as well as attending concerts and local festivals.
Elaine Berman
Elaine Berman is our Executive Liaison at Dove and Robin Recovery. She has worked with our team for close to a year in our Admissions department. She received her BFA in Modern Dance at The Ohio State University in 2012 with honors and is currently working towards her CDCA. She is also in recovery and works a 12 Step program so this is not just a job for her. It is a vocation.
